A diagnostic from the Buddhist philosophical tradition
This diagnostic follows Dharmakirti's epistemology and the Abhidharma classification of mind, as synthesised in the Gelugpa tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The five capacities examined here define what it means for something to be a mind (citta, Skt.) — and therefore what it means for there to be someone home.
